 About 50km east of Helsinki, Porvoo is one of Finland's oldest towns, dating back to the 14th Century. Porvoo is well-connected to Helsinki by bus, with frequent daily departures. In summer, it can also be reached via a historic steamboat, offering a very pleasant journey along the coast and up the river.
