On your private day trip to Bath, you will:
Step back in time, to Regency England and become a member of the Ton for a day, exploring the grand locations where many scenes from the hit series Bridgerton were filmed.
The Regency city of Bath has been used as the backdrop for many period dramas with its magnificent Royal Crescent lined with stately Georgian houses, cobbled streets, honey-coloured buildings made with 'Bath stone', and sweeping views of the surrounding Somerset and Cotswolds countryside.
Situated in the valley of the River Avon, Bath is one of the prettiest cities in the UK and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Many famous people have lived in Bath - including Jane Austen herself, whose novels inspired the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn, now a Netflix phenomenon.
Named after the famous Roman Baths, Bath’s hot springs have been its main tourist attraction until the arrival of Bridgerton! Filmed in Bath it showcases the romance and scandal of an aristocratic family in Regency London during the early 1800s.
Enjoy a relaxing and scenic drive into the heart of the Cotswolds countryside in a spacious and comfortable classic London black cab. Stop for a coffee break in the quintessentially English village of Bucklebury (where Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales grew up).
From here you'll head to Bath and drive through Lansdowne Fields to visit the Holburne Museum, home to the formidable Lady Danbury! On arrival in Bath, you'll begin your walking tour at The Royal Crescent, passing by No.1, which is used for the Featherington family's residence.
The Royal Crescent is famous for its sweeping vistas and magnificent Georgian architecture, designed by John Wood the Elder and his son John Wood the Younger!
Walk down the hill to The Circus - a unique circular array of terraced houses, passing the Jane Austen Centre, Queen Anne Square and arrive at The Assembly Rooms. This iconic ballroom where Jane Austen herself will have danced, was designed by John Wood the Younger in 1769, and you'll recognise the location as many of the Bridgerton ball scenes were filmed here.
During lunchtime, you'll have the chance to visit the Roman Baths if this is something you have pre-booked. In the afternoon you'll continue discovering exquisite Regency landmarks and Bridgerton filming locations, including the spectacular Bath Abbey, the Pulteney Bridge (one of only four of its kind in the world) and Abbey Green home to the dressmakers 'Modiste'.
From here enjoy a drive through pretty Cotswolds villages and a relaxing drive back to London.
